+health is probably the best for PvE.

No it's not. +health makes you less tasty for mobs = harder to tank.
Also, if you die in PvE, 95% of the times you would have died with 100 extra health too. +energy is very much better than +health in PvE.

I prefer Dreadnoughts actually, I find that an extra 10AL vs. elemental helps alot in PvE. I don't think that Gladiators or +Health sets are that useful, because I've run a D-Slasher through the second half of Factions and all of Nightfall, and never thought 'Bugger why don't I have a <insert armor set here> instead of damn Dragon?'. Dreadnoughts > PvE. If you want to get into the occasional PvP then get a +health set.

I would actually with the +armor while attacking or the +armor vs. physical.... Every little bit of armor helps, you would be surprised at how much damage it cuts. Think about it this way...
If you have 100 armor and are taking like 3 damage per hit... it really doesnt matter how much health you have, 'cause ANY monk can keep up with that... shit, even you can heal yourself at that point.
OR
You have 2,000 health and 40 armor... (exaggeration, I know) and you are taking a good 60 damage per hit... you would be dead in seconds.
So yeah... my examples are a little exxagerated... but you get the idea.

Gladiators is the best because you can run many builts with it. But most warriors got a few sets, for different areas in the game.
Because your a wammo(..............)you probaly use monk skills so best bet is take gladiators.

My most used set is my Sentinel's, as it's very rare that I'm not running 13 Strength, and 100 armour versus both physical and elemental just rocks.
I have sets of Dreadnought's (15k Granite Citadel) and Gladiator's too, and I must admit, the one that gets the least use now is my Dreadnought's.
Gladiator's is very useful when running builds that regularly use energy based skills, but Dreadnought's just can't compete with Sentinel's in most of my other builds. I just wish they'd allow all armour sets to accept insignias
Just had an interesting thought: does the stat reduction from weakness affect your ability to use Sentinel's? Do you lose that +20 vs. elemental damage while affected?

Actually sentinel's armor is bugged since nf launched and provides no bonus.
I guess that if sentinel worked, weakness could remove the bonus if you play with 13 strength.

Okay, where did you get that from?
I'm pretty sure it's not bugged, but if you can provide proof that it is, I'd be grateful.

I'll have to test this with mine tonight to see if my set's broken, but it seems to have been behaving.
Pretty ridiculous that ANet have let this slide for so long.

Currently its Gladiator's.
The one thing I absolutely have about Armor is that they can break if you want to switch runes. I just spent 75k getting a glad armor (since the normal one looks shitty to me), I wish I could use that set to switch runes in and out.

I'd say either +hp or +energy. Specific armour doesn't matter at all in PvE, and you'd have a nice, shiny set with a workable bonus if (and when) you decide to tear up PvP with l33t weapon skins.
Having multiple sets is a wise move, though. A set of Sentinel's armour is pretty sweet to have when you run 13 Strength, 100 base AL is kinda cool.
And as a War/Mo... Mending doesn't help you tank. Bad wammo! No!

I have a set of:
+ HP
+ Energy
Dreadnoughts
but I like +HP the most. You honestly don't need additional energy as a warrior--your main attacks are adren based..

I don't think it matters much in PvE. I always like more armour there. Sentinel's is great if you feel comfortable without a heal sig. 16/13 all the way.

Personally I would suggest +vs Elemental since Warriors already have a stout defense against physical. If not this, then Glads is a good way to go as well. Choosing +health is probably he best to prevent getting spiked, but that really doesn't happen much in PvE. Arguing that it will cause you to lose aggro isn't a valid argument however because higher armor level will also influence enemy AI to switch targets like health does.

Who wants to tank it really doesn't do no good in todays PvE game. The game today is about doing mass amounts of damage as for Glads and Survivior and I still like Knights on females.

Just to confirm, the bonus on sets that have the inherent Sentinel's mod is indeed broken.
Bit gutted, as it means I've had to ditch my lovely Tyrian chainmail.
But I have a nice shiny set of 15k Sunspear Elite now and recieve an average of 20 less damage from the hydras outside of Augury

For PvE, it doesnt really matter what set you have. However, it is always good to have multiple sets. Right now I love 15k ascalon with health mods.
(although I admit its becasue not a lot of people wear it anymore!)
